Happy New Year!

•January 13, 2010 • Leave a Comment

2009 was such an incredible year for us. We were very blessed with some wonderful wedding couples, fantastic family portrait sessions, and some really creative travel photography. 2010 is shaping up to even more exciting with unique wedding bookings and a new business venture to bring to market. We can’t give out too many details just yet as we are still in development. We can tell you it will be called FOTOCOMPOSE and it’s a whole new way of sourcing wedding photography. It’s going to “blow-the-socks-off” the traditional model. Look for more details by the summer.

We would like to thank all of the wedding couples who entrusted their very special day to us this past year. We truly enjoyed spending the time with each one of you and capturing all the special moments that made your day so memorable. Enjoy your albums everyone. Here is a small sample of the fun that was had in 2009.

To all of our friends who have helped us and encouraged our artistic expressions this past year we would like to thank you for your inspiration. We wish you a fantastic 2010 filled with health and happiness and creative joy!

Blessings,
R&S

Agnes & Jason – Engagement

Also a while back, I had the pleasure to photograph Agnes and Jason prior to their wedding. Jason is the son of a good friend of mine Ineke. We had a blast down in Fish Creek. As you can tell, the love that Agnes and Jason have for each other comes flowing out of the photos. Happy marriage you two! (Click on the thumbnails to enlarge)

Ol’ Red

Here are a couple of photos that I’ve been meaning to put on the blog and get some viewer feedback. The flower shot is leaning towards infrared photography and the other is an old kettle on a red barn in Yak, BC. I thought they complimented each other well. (Click on the thumbnails to enlarge)

Mackenzie – Glam Session

In April I had a chance to do a portrait session with the lovely Mackenzie. We had met at the Wedding Show in January where she was getting some creative ideas for her photography business. As an aspiring photographer, she was more than happy to “Glam it up” for the shoot and knew all the right poses. Thanks for the great shoot Mackenzie. If you would like to check out her site, she’s at www.mackphotography.ca. (Click on the thumbnails to enlarge)

steam1Wow, how time passes. It’s been an incredibly busy summer with many wonderful weddings, engagement and family sessions, plus some creative shoots in unusual places. I’ll try and give you some of the highlights in the upcoming posts.

Stampede Royalty

•March 24, 2009 • 2 Comments

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing some true Calgary Royalty, the 2009 Stampede Queen, Princesses and the Indian Princess. These gals are wonderful ambassadors for the Stampede and real troopers when it comes to posing. Thank you to Kerri Williamson (Queen), Kateri Cowley and Tara Sergerie (Princesses), and Nikkole Heavy-Shields (Indian Princess) for all that you do for Calgary and showcasing our city throughout Cananda and the US. Enjoy your trip to Toronto!

Colors of Vegas

Here are some more inspirations and colors from Vegas. The convention was a great experience. We met so many interesting people and were blown away by all the new software and creative ideas. It was also rewarding meeting some of the industry’s top shooters like: Jerry Ginones, Jessica Claire, Yervant, Robert Scott, Gene Hinga, Joe Photo, Jose Villa, Jesh DeRox and many more. We can’t wait to put all these creative ideas in our 2009 weddings.

Blessings,
R.

There is a reason it’s called Sin City…

It’s time to lose your inhibitions. Vegas has the temptations to satisfy every vice from the 24/7 casinos to adult entertainment to endless buffets, this place knows how to show off and put you in another realm of reality. In other words, a photogaphers paradise. Here are some fun shots from the first few days in Vegas.
